Being healthy means eating a nutritious balanced diet that provided the body with nutrients to nourish, build and repair the body physically.
Equally, exercise plays an important role in ensuring that the body maintains strong bones and muscles that enable a person to carry out daily physical action such as crawling, standing, walking, sitting running, carrying etc.
Besides physical activities, independence can be nurtured through toilet training, learning to get dressed and taking care of personal hygiene. When children can learn and develop to do things by themselves it can help build their confidence which is an element of emotional development.
Similarly, being happy, enjoying life and experiencing pleasures are good for children's emotional well-being too. In terms of physical well-being, it is important to understand children's illnesses, including causes, treatments and preventions.
Observe the Early Years Foundation Stage framework(EYFS) as being at the heart of early year education which is further supported by traditional and current theories, government initiatives, organisation campaigns and charities.
